Mark Moroney, one of Hex-Hut's owners and a welder with over 31 years of welding experience with pipeline & fabrication projects, identified several weaknesses of traditional shacks and hoarding. He designed the Hex-Hut Shelter System as a solution to these problems.

Mark began the design of the 24" Unit in 2002 and progressed thru several prototypes until finalizing the latest design, the T2-24 (for 6" 30" pipe) in early 2007. A larger Unit, the T2-48 (for 24"-56" pipe) has since been intoduced in late 2007.

The Hex-Hut Shelter System is a lightweight, portable, welding shelter that provides a unique alternative for an optimal welding environment for all welding processes.
